Quito: In a significant milestone for global robotics and innovation, World Robotics Sports Organization (WORSO) has officially announced the expansion of Technoxian into Ecuador, marking its strategic entry into the South American region. The move comes following a formal agreement signed between WORSO and STEAMUP Ecuador, aimed at strengthening robotics education and competitive platforms in the country.
This collaboration is set to launch Technoxian Championships in Ecuador, opening new pathways for students, innovators, and robotics enthusiasts to participate in one of the world’s fastest-growing robotics competition ecosystems.
A New Chapter for Technoxian in South America
Under this partnership, STEAMUP Ecuador will lead the development of local robotics communities through structured roboclubs, enabling grassroots participation and talent identification across the country. These communities will serve as a foundation for building competitive teams that will represent Ecuador on the global stage.
Selected teams from national-level championships will earn the opportunity to compete at the prestigious Technoxian World Cup 10.0, further integrating Ecuador into the international robotics circuit.
Leadership Statements
Speaking on the expansion, Raj Sharma, President of WORSO, said:
“The expansion of Technoxian into Ecuador marks a powerful step in our mission to democratize access to robotics and emerging technologies across the globe. South America holds immense potential, and through our partnership with STEAMUP Ecuador, we aim to nurture innovation, empower youth, and create a strong pipeline of global robotics talent. Ecuador’s participation in Technoxian World Cup 10.0 will be a proud moment for the entire region.”
Echoing this vision, Santiago Mendieta, Director of STEAMUP Ecuador, stated:
“This partnership with WORSO brings a transformative opportunity for Ecuador’s youth. By introducing Technoxian Championships and establishing roboclubs, we are creating a structured ecosystem where students can explore robotics, innovation, and global competition. We are excited to see Ecuadorian teams represent our nation at Technoxian World Cup 10.0.”
Strengthening the Global Robotics Ecosystem
The entry of Ecuador into the Technoxian network reflects WORSO’s continued commitment to expanding robotics education and competitive opportunities worldwide. With increasing participation from new regions, Technoxian is rapidly evolving into a truly global platform that bridges innovation, education, and international collaboration.
As Ecuador gears up for its first Technoxian Championships, the initiative is expected to inspire a new generation of innovators, positioning the country as an emerging hub for robotics and STEM excellence in South America.
